Information Literacy

As sources of information constantly increase and become more accessible, it becomes especially important to acquire the basic skills needed to find relevant and reliable information.
The School of History and the University Library believe that every university graduate must be capable of locating, summarizing, and critically evaluating all the materials he uses. These skills will serve the university graduate well as he pursues graduate studies and advances in his career.
At the end of the course, students will be:
- Familiar with the major databases in their fields;
- Able to conduct effective searches independently
- Capable of evaluating the information sources critically.
- Cope with complex research topics that require analytical ability.
- Able to properly attribute the information sources they use in their work

This is an online course for students in all the history departments
